This review describes the progress and potential dental applications of AI in the diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of diseases. Artificial intelligence (AI) is a technology that uses machines to simulate intelligent human behavior. While truly autonomous medical robotic systems are still out of reach, the virtual component of artificial intelligence, known as software algorithms, is the main component used in medicine. The topic of AI integration has not been sufficiently studied and implemented in the healthcare system, but it is already showing its effectiveness in application. A literary review of scientific papers over the past 10 years has been conducted using PubMed and eLibrary search systems, and sources indexed in Scopus, the Higher Attestation Commission, and the Web of Science have been analyzed. To conduct the meta-analysis, we used articles showing the use of neural networks, artificial intelligence and other It technologies in the field of dentistry in foreign practice.
