The present study demonstrates the results of a comparative assessment of the stress-strain state of polymer composite materials depending on their intraoral location and natural masticatory force magnitude. The conducted analysis revealed that the positioning of occlusal splints in the region of the mandibular first molars initiates an elevated risk of both defect formation and deformation of this orthodontic correction device, as well as the inception of root resorption processes. This is attributed to the emergence of critical localized stresses reaching a value of 299 MPa, which exceeds the ultimate tensile strength of many dental composites. Consequently, treatment planning involving splint application in the posterior dentition should account for the presence of bruxism or increased masticatory muscle tone. The maximum stress values recorded during splint fixation in the region of the mandibular premolars amounted to 9.32 MPa, thereby explicitly minimizing the risk of defect initiation. This fixation area is clinically preferable. Fixation of splints in the region of the maxillary incisors represents the safest option for orthodontic intervention due to the complete dampening of the functional load of 92 N by the periodontal ligament apparatus.
