The dental caries is a major issue for public health. In spite of well-designed and effective prevention programs, it represents a financial burden for state budget and population. Thus, the study of behavior factors impacts of this pathology development is a matter of current. The purpose of the study is to research the dependence of easily-fermentable carbohydrate consumption as a risk factor for the dental caries development in adolescents of 12 and 15 years as in the case of urban district Chapaevsk. Materials and methods of the study. Stomatologic examination has been performed for 361 adolescents, including 174 children of 12 years, 187 children of 15 years, by the procedure of the WHO (2013) @@32 in the urban district Chapaevsk. The analyses of the dependence of the dental health parameters found by clinical method (DMFT, DMFS, gingivitis («bleeding of the gums»)) have been performed considering the answers of patients in the form recommended by WHO. Findings. The cluster analysis of dependences of DMFT, food regimen factors and feeding habits has divided children into three groups. The first cluster includes 25% of adolescents with average DMFtooth 1,9 (confidence interval (CI) 1,4-2,4), DMFsurf. — 2,4 (CI 1,6-3,2), gingivitis prevalence — 69,5%; the rarer consumption of cariogenic food in families is found in this group in comparison with other groups. The second cluster includes 22,9% of adolescents with average DMFtooth = 3,7 (CI 3,0-4,4), DMFsurf. = 4,9 (CI 3,7-6,22), with gingivitis prevalence — 78,3%. The number of children with cariogenic food regimen is 58% in this group. In the third cluster, the most numerous (52,1%) with DMFtooth = 5,9 (CI 4,7-7,1), DMFsurf. — 8,8 (CI 6,1-11,6), gingivitis prevalence — 93,5%; the daily consumption of «Sponge biscuits/pastries/cakes» and other cariogenic food and drinks was accurately revealed. Therefore, we can make a conclusion about the necessity to consider dental health parameters and sugar and carbohydrates consumption on the same basis as such behavior factors as tooth brushing, using fluoride toothpaste during the preventive program development and treatment.
